In Memory of Our

Co-Founder, John Gadow

Our friend and mentor John passed away in November 2017, but his legacy lives on.

Originally from Morgan City, Louisiana, John graduated from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Later, he and his wife Jan Farmer Gadow, also an attorney, moved to Jackson, where John attended Mississippi College's School of Law and they became actively involved in the community and civic events throughout the state for the next 25 years.

John was the co-founder of the law firm of Gadow Tyler. His professional success was grounded in his deep compassion for people who were economically disadvantaged and less fortunate. John was irrepressibly optimistic and did not tolerate injustice. He was a tireless advocate for his clients and for his friends.

John gave generously and tirelessly of himself to individuals in need of help and to organizations dedicated to helping others. His deep kindness and joyful generosity were visible evidence of his sincere faith. John also served the Church in numerous capacities, including his most recent appointment as Vice-Chancellor to the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi.

Memorial gifts in honor of John's legacy may be made to the Mississippi Bar Foundation Lawyers and Judges Assistance Program (LJAP) or to Andre's Fund in the Episcopal Recovery Program of the Diocese of Mississippi.
